After a wonderful summer break, we had to start school again. Which means, what comes with is co-op! So I guess, there is one big upside (other than Awana) to starting the school year all over again! But this year will be very different.
We are blessed and very thankful that the whole Terry/Eddie family will be able to join us this year. And as we grow older, sadly, it means more schoolwork. So we (Zoe, Chloe and I) will be starting Gileskirk for the first time. How exciting! Or not. Then we will be having more classes as well. So a lot to look forward to. Technically, co-op has already started. At least the homework end of it. We had a "starter" or "preparing for co-op" day last week. However, with two of the families gone and just us and the Terry family it wasn't so much like a REAL co-op Thursday.
For the past almost 2 years, co-op is at our house and includes the Tucks, the Coles, the Terrys and of course us people.
So we are looking forward to official starting this week. This year our classes are:
• Writing (taught by Mrs. Tuck)
• Physical Science (taught by mom)
• Gileskirk (co-taught by mom and Mrs. Tuck)
• Spanish (taught by the one and only Cali)
And for Spanish we had to pick "Spanish names". Yea! ;) So Jackson chose, Mario (obviously). Ryon chose, Leon. Austin chose, Gustavo (which is funny because he can never pronounce it the right way). Nathan chose, the undecided. And Alexa chose, Lola. Zoe chose, Rita. I chose, Selena. Chloe chose, Nina. And for the teacher! Cali chose, Mrs. Chiquita (which means Banana to my horror). Norman the Terrys new dog was picked out the name Leonardo. And mom chose Rosalinda. We are practicing rolling our "r's". It is so hard!
Well, that for now is pretty much the overall school right now. Other than of course, Math etc.
We'll see how it goes! :)

Fall
Fall has arrived. I've been waiting. But that doesn't mean that I didn't have fun this summer. This was my best friend's and I's first year at Awana camp, which turned out way better than I had expected. Also we, (mom, mattea and I) got to go huckleberry camping with the Tucks, Coles, Linds, and Caitlin LaBar for around 3 days which turned out very fun. With Awana starting officially last week and co-op starting in about 2ish weeks our fall schedule is already filling up! Yeah for Fall!

ROCK ON
(Zoe) Several Sundays ago after we came home from church Mom told us that the Terry's were coming over. Shorty after they arrived Mom and Cali told us that we were going to go somewhere. But when we chose who was riding with who Mom and Cali said that Austin, Mattea, and I were going with them.So we got into the car and they said that we were going to a special taco place (yeah right). We drive to Portland, park, and then get out and walk straight towards the Rose Garden. (definitely NOT tacos). Yep. WAY better than tacos. A concert. Now, none of us kids had ever been to a concert, (except one time Mattea and I went to see this guy playing a violin, but that doesn't count), so this was way cool. Jars of Clay, Mercy Me, Anthem Lights, Lacrae, Thousand Foot Crutch, The Afters, Matt Maher, and some other ones were all bands that were there. It was the Rock and Worship Roadshow! My favorite was Anthem Lights. The only way I can describe it is this: Loud and fun. Thanks Cali and Mom!
Awana Games
(Zoe) On Saturday, March 19th, Chloe, Nathan, Mattea, Ryon, Jackson, Claudia, Me, and some of our other friends at Awana had the privilege of participating in Awana Games and Sparks-a-rama. Of course, Ryon and Jackson were in Sparks-a-rama and the rest I mentioned were in Awana Games, or Truth and Training (T&T) Games. Ryon and Jackson, along with the rest of their team, took First Place for Brush Prairie Baptist Church, Sparks. In Awana Games however, they divide it up so that it is girls vs. girls and boys vs. boys. Our girls team beat the other girl teams by far and took Gold, and the boys struggled bravely and took Silver. This was the last time that Chloe, Mattea, or I would be able to participate in T&T games since we are moving up to Trek next year, so getting Gold made us pretty happy. We made some records in Tug of War and other games and came out with Gold. Awesome. Here are some pictures:

Winter Wonderland.. Finally!!
(Mattea) Last night we went to bed after watching the beautiful snow fall crazily and wildly to the ground. We prayed for more as we fell asleep. We woke up to even more snow than the night before. It was gorgeous. It had stopped actually snowing but the roads and grass and everything was covered by a blanket of crystallized-looking snow. God is so amazing. To think that He created this beautiful and yet so fun to play in, thing that we call snow. What is it? It's not ice, it's not water. It's like a mixture of both.. And yet, it tastes so good and feels so soft (unless you get pelted with it in a snowball fight). You can do so much in it, like sledding, snowball fights, make snow angels, build forts, eat it, or just play in it. You can never be too old to play in the snow. Everyone of all ages can enjoy snow. In fact the person in my family who prayed the most for snow, was not Zoe as some of you might have expected, but my Mom. So you see? Everyone can enjoy snow! So yes.. We were blessed with the pleasure of fabulous snow that stuck long enough for us to play in it. I hope that everyone of you who reads this was able to enjoy the fantastical snow that our loving Father in heaven blessed us with!

New Exciting Things for a New Exciting Year
(Zoe) At our house lots of new things have been happening lately. For example, We are getting new windows (that we can actually see through)!
Plus, just this morning I found three eggs in our chicken pen (the first ones).
And to add to all that Mattea and I just turned 12 on the 6th. Making this a good year so far.....
